The Block Island Ferry

Reservations can be made online or by calling 401-783-7996. If you plan to bring a car to the island, you’ll need to take the Traditional Ferry (approximately 1 hour) and make your reservation by phone. You likely won’t need a car for the weekend, but if you do plan to bring one, we recommend booking soon after vehicle reservations open in January, as space is limited and fills up quickly.

We’re big fans of the Hi-Speed Ferry, which gets you to the island from Point Judith in about 30 minutes! Seasonal ferry service is also available from Newport, RI and New London, CT. New London ferry reservations can be made HERE.

2027 ferry schedules will be released later this fall, so be sure to check back for updated departure times and booking information.
Where to Stay
A discounted room block is available for our guests at the Spring House Hotel for reservations made by March 31, 2027. To book and receive the special rate, please call the hotel at 401-466-5844 or email info@springhousehotel.com and mention the Vecchio Bailer Wedding. The Spring House offers a variety of accommodations, ranging from queen guest rooms to on-site apartments that sleep up to six. Please note that a two-night minimum stay is required.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need additional recommendations! Keep in mind that many accommodations on the island do not begin accepting reservations until the fall or winter.

Taxi Services
Taxis are the best way to get around, as there are no Ubers or Lyfts on the island. You'll find a taxi stand steps off the ferry when you first arrive. We recommend saving a few of these numbers in your phone to call while you're on the island:

Our favorite beach on the Block! Located at the northern end of Crescent Beach, Mansion Beach tends to stay quieter and less crowded than the beaches closer to town.
